PINEAPPLE ESSENCE 22 inches This is the first Pineapple pattern I was happy with My biggest challenge was how to do the border area that always surrounds the Pineapples. After much trial and error I came up with a combination that I liked. Below is the result of my first effort. This comes after many time of ripping out the complete doily.. |

PINEAPPLE SWIRL 18 inches After making several of the Pineapple Essence, I had to quit. So I decided to try this one. Just adapt another pattern to incooperate the Pineapple design. It had a lot of open work to the design and it seemed like the pineapples were totally lost in the design. More twicking. I decided to elimate all the open work both in the center area and the outside area. With that I came up with the sage & purple designs below. I was happy with those. |

PINEAPPLE CLUSTER 20 x 22 inches Oval At this point I decided I am getting fairly good at this and decided I needed to try an oval doily. I found a crochet pattern for an oval tablecloth I really liked. Decided to try and convert it. Below is the result. |

PINEAPPLE SQUARE 20 inches Well this is what happened here. I wanted a square doily, with the pineapples in the corners. That didn't work, as you can see. They ended up on the side areas. This can also be stretched out round. As you may notice this is quite similer to the Pineapple Cluster above. I was planning it that way, hoping they would become a set. Oval & Square, but I guess it could also be round. Once again I can see I need to restretch this one. Apparently I have only made the one, thought there were more colors, but can't find the pictueres. |
PINEAPPLE LILY 24 inches This one is so new I haven't gotten it stretched & stiffened. I am waiting till I finish the second one to see if it is exactly as I want it. I think it probably is. As far as I am concerned it is probably the pretties pattern I have come up with. If you go to my first doily page you will see a doily named Lily Pad. This is a variation of that. |
